Found objects, mixed media – found drawer, ceramic figures, computer keyboard, toy birds, plastic jungle cats, wooden elephant, and paint.

The drawer provides such a rich experience of making a scene, it’s like a 3D version of a canvass known for the variation on the diorama.  I enjoy how this piece became about communication and positive word messaging.  It really feels like a broad slice of community which is where the title came from being the Savannah desert and the internet like https://www, reaching all corners of the globe, well almost all corners anyways.  I assembled the initial composition and Rory brought in a lot of the details of the words and unifying the color play of the piece.
